Barney Rock
Barney Rock (born 10 January 1961 in Ballymun, Dublin) is an Irish retired sportsperson. He played Gaelic football with his local club Ballymun Kickhams and was a member of the Dublin senior inter-county team from 1980 until 1991.[1] Rock is regarded as one of Dublin's greatest-ever players.
Rock was an unsuccessful candidate at the 1991 local elections for the Progressive Democrats. He stood for election to the Finglas ward of Dublin Corporation.[2]
